Data CoLAB is a collaborative laboratory focused on data-driven innovation. We work with organisations across various sectors to transform data into decisions, products and real-world impact.

Our projects include initiatives in the areas of Smart Cities and the Digital Product Passport (DPP) – two challenging fields with significant data potential in Portugal.
Our Data Analytics team is currently growing, and we need someone who combines technical vision with the ability to lead complex projects, both with our clients and partners and internally.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Leading the architecture and development of project and internal data pipelines.
Working directly with clients to transform their data into concrete products and decisions.
Ensure data quality, consistency and accessibility.
Develop dashboards and BI solutions that reach decision-makers.
Support ML and AI initiatives, including the deployment and monitoring of models in production.
Mentor junior team members and act as the technical lead on data matters.
Identify opportunities where data can create real business impact.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Experience in Data Engineering, Analytics or a similar field
Proficiency in data architecture and ETL/ELT pipelines
Fluency in SQL; experience with NoSQL is an advantage
Python or an equivalent language for data processing
Experience with BI tools – Power BI, Metabase, Tableau or similar
Basic understanding of Machine Learning and the model lifecycle
Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders
Enthusiasm for Artificial Intelligence and its applications
Impact-driven mindset: more focused on solving the right problem than on the right tool
